SET feature button is used to program REPDIAL (Repertory Dial) buttons on a
telephone. REPDIAL buttons (usually the blank buttons ) can be programmed to dial extensions,
telephone numbers or any desired sequence of numbers, pauses, " * "
or " # " entries. To use a REPDIAL button you must first
progam it to do something.
To program a REPDIAL button using the SET
feature simply...
Get dial tone ......
Press .... <or> dial ..
Press the desired REPDIAL button (usually a blank button ) <If you receive an error tone after pressing the desired REPDIAL button ...
that button is not programable as a REPDIAL> Dial ...... the
extension, telephone number (don't forget the "9") or sequence of numbers,
pauses, * or # desired <To insert a pause or delay press the HOLD button at that point in the
sequence> Hangup ....
To use a programmed REPDIAL button simply...
Press the desired
REPDIAL ......
REPDIALs can make the everyday task of calling voicemail then entering your password and
then prompting voicemail to play new messages as simple as pressing a properly programmed
REPDIAL button. Entering pauses / delays in the right place(s) of your dialing
sequence is the key to programming a REPDIAL to do this entire task.
